During the period 08-12 March 2010 Romatsa hosted activities organised by AACR, TAROM and EUROCONTROL:

• Presentation of the AHP/APF (Safety Performance Indicators) on the 8th and 9th of March
• The SAF-SOAM(Systemic Occurence Analysis Methodology) Course  during the 10 – 12 of March

Participants at these activities were specialists from the Ministry of Transports and Infrastructure, AACR, TAROM, BLUE AIR, CARPAT AIR, The Internaţional Airport “Henri Coandă” Bucureşti Otopeni, The Aerospace Engineering College, Romatsa and one representative from the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland.

The SAF-SOAM (Systemic Occurence Analysis Methodology) Course was held by Mr. Andrew Lowe and Mr. Brent Hayward, consultants from Dedale Asia Pacific.

During the Course it was presented the SOAM methodology, a tehnique developed specially for safety events investigations, using a standard structure and terminology. This methodology allows a unitary process for all safety events that occur in ATM systems, no matter the level of the safety event in question, the SOAM model supplying practical processes for analyzing and representing the relations between the factors that led to the occurance of the safety event in question.
